Speaker Cables

Used to connect power (amps, receiver) to speakers. Carry both signal change and power so we must have sufficient conductors. You should consider length and wattage as well as quality of components and specific termination needs (bare, tinned, spades, pins, bananas, etc.).

Virtuoso H speaker cable featuring a unique cable structure, which incorporates the best aspects of our renowned SYMMETRICAL COAXIAL and ADVANCED HELIX designs. Six stranded conductor groups of heavy Silver Plated OFHC Copper are compressed and helically twisted around a non-conductive core to comprise the positive conductor group. Two Silver Plated OFHC braid shields with a Foam Polypropylene dielectric between them comprise the negative conductor group. The inner helical positive conductors permit effortless dynamics, a full luscious midrange and sound stage realism. Crescendo II Straight Wire has introduced a significantly improved version of their highly acclaimed “Crescendo” Speaker Cable. It offers both technical advances starting with the inner core composed of seven equal diameter TPR hollow tubes vs. one large tube. This allows for greater flexibility and retention of roundness. The tubes are dual wrapped to maintain a uniform foundation for the many (12) large conductive groups and fillers. Dual insulation thicknesses (“soft” Foam Teflon and “hard” Foam Polypropylene) were modified to account for the characteristics of the new “inner core”. Conductor group resistance remained the same while compression was modified.

Crescendo speaker cable was the first Compressed Conductor Technology (CCT) design produced by Straight Wire. This design combines the best attributes of solid-core and stranded conductor technology. Extreme care was given to the degree of conductor compression and pressure of the Foam Polypropylene insulation.

Cosmetically, Crescendo II features a predominately black anti-static fiber with silver highlights under a clear jacket. This change was made in response to requests from many consumers who felt the equal silver/black snake-skin look was too aggressive and stood out in many décor environments due to the large diameter (over 1”) of Crescendo speaker cable.

Crescendo II provides mechanical and electrical advancements beyond original Crescendo speaker cable. SPECIALTY CABLES 

Pro Special speaker cable has the smallest diameter relative to its audiophile, high performance design. Without the advanced fabric braid jacket and coated conductors, Pro Special features the same geometry and overall design of Encore II speaker cable. The result is a performance cable that excels in detail and solid bass foundation - all in a compact, affordable package. 

B-Flat speaker cable: designed for maximum flexibility with a low profile.  B-Flat solves those problem wiring areas as the perfect cable to run across floors, under carpet, around doors and along baseboards and ceilings.  With a durable jacket which is easy to paint or glue, B-Flat can become almost invisible in your installation.  14 gauge OFC copper braided conductors provide outstanding performance from this economical flat speaker cable.  The off white jacket does not absorb dirt and stains like other competing flat cable made with interior insulation.
